That's excellent!
An acquaintance had a similar experience, Yt recommended a vid and, overnight, his views went through the roof.

Your 'standard' is how you drive alone, not how you drive during a test.

Re: Motorcycle videos
The start of a new series of short clips giving individual motorcycle riding tips. Some people may prefer these to longer videos which have multiple topics and themes. This one looks at a situation where restraint is required to avoid the trap of not considering "what you can't see".
I'll still be doing longer ones, but these will help me use those clips of footage I gather when out and about. Often I'll get home and there's only one or two short instances that are of any interest.

It's been a cold wet day, so I've been busy on the PC.

My latest motorcycle video. A mash up of a first impressions test ride of the Honda NT1100 DCT and a demo ride with a few commentary style tips along the way.

Nice and 'advanced' ride Mike. Difficult for me to see the 'clunky gear changes' at low speed but I believe you! Crikey automatic bikes - whatever next?

Turn the volume up The bang/clunk is clearly audible. Sadly Ive watched some other YouTube videos where the riders are praising how smooth the gear changes are ... yet I can clearly hear the bang. I'm obviously too fussy and been riding bikes with slick gearboxes for too long (though the first two gears on my Explorer are awful too).
Quickshifters are another popular 'necessity' that some riders now must have. They have come on in leaps and bounds from the early days. Now you can just click the lever up without touching the clutch or closing the throttle, as we now are 'fly by wire'. The electronics momentarily cut the ignition/throttle and, snick, you are in the next gear. They also work coming down the box, even adding rev matching (for those who haven't got their System order correct ). Funny story: I test rode the Suzuki GSX-S1000GT and was impressed with its QS. All the reviews say it is better than the one on the Kawasaki 1000SX. So I rode that back to back, and came back saying the QS was awful. "REALLY bad!" Turns out the bike I was on was produced just before it became standard fitment!

Not motorcycling, but doesn't fit anywhere else
