The forum disappeared for a few hours from last night to this morning.
Was it just me, or was there a problem ... or scheduled maintenance?

Re: Who pulled the plug out?
Not just you, I couldn't access the board this morning.
However . . . we had pretty horrendous storms down here (AK's near Swindon, so if his ISP is anywhere close, that's only 15-25 miles away), with flooding and power-outs. We (Newbury) lost power for an hour yesterday evening, and some of the area was out when I left home this morning.

Or it could be a coincidence![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif)

Your 'standard' is how you drive alone, not how you drive during a test.

This says the various data centres/servers were up ok. Multi routing should have dealt with any local issues.

Yeah, I had issues overnight/this morning too (both from home and work). Shrugs. Maybe Alistair should up the subscriptions if you want a SLA ![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

You'd pay 50% more than you do now, wouldn't you?

Apologies guys - you were all meant to be asleep ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
scheduled maintenance from c. midnight to 4am by my technical guys, with some quite detailed restructuring of where things are in the datacenter...
for some reason a number of servers didn't go back up again (they probably forgot to plug them in!)
Thanks to a member on here who texted me to let me know (our usual monitoring system tells me if a server goes down, but can't tell me if it fails to go up after a planned outage...)
amazingly not a single one of my paying clients seemed to notice that their websites weren't back up![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
Talking of which I like the idea of doubling my fees - form an orderly queue over here...![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
for interest our servers are in a very robust and fail safe datacenter in Manchester - but this was probably human error!
