Is that anything like learning to use similes?

Going back to overtaking in the wet, which tyres do you have on your blue bike?

Michelin Road 5 Trail.

I've used Michelin Road Pilot 3 and 4, and now the Road 5 or many years and thousands of miles. I'm getting 9-10k miles from a front and about 13k from a rear. They are great all rounders and very good in the wet.

There's very few truly bad tyres these days, just levels of 'goodness' :)

Now if we still had TT100s and Roadrunners, and original fitment Japanese Bridgestones from the late 70s/early 80s, the current bikes would have their traction control lights doing a disco beat.

After a bit of a break my latest blockbuster is now up on YouTube looking at some of the hazards encountered on a recent social ride. Winter riding can still be fun, though there's lots more cleaning.

Nice video Mike - in rotten conditions.

No I didn't spot the cyclist in the shadows...even after replaying it back!

They don't know if the wave is sincere, ironic or sarcastic, and neither do you. ;) :)

Ah :o one of those pedello Caterham jobs, I wonder if they reliaze how vulnerable they are? I am pretty sure they do with the number of close passes they incur.

Actually I don't have an issue with them, especially in the villages. This particular place is plagued by noisy bikes at times and one local has even been jumping out in front of bikes using a hose pipe. :o I usually just smile at the visible frustration of the ones holding the hair dryer as we trundle past at 30 or less. You often see them jump out of their seats with glee when they hear bikes coming.
