A quick announcement to say that we moved the forum onto a newer (and faster!) server yesterday...
As a part of that move we also moved it onto HTTPS (little padlock by the URL) - this means that all our ramblings are now encrypted between your keyboard and the server
In theory everything is working as it should do, but do let me know if you have issues - it is likely that you will be logged out and have to log back in - but that is simply that new server = new cookie...

Re: Server and HTTPS
This topic comes up with a fav icon in my browser that I don't recognise. No other pages seem to have one.
Edit: It disappeared once I replied.
It only appears on posts I haven't replied to ... and the main index page.

Re: Server and HTTPS
I've not been able to replicate it on my PC. It only happens on my old Android phone using the stock browser. Chrome is OK.
Unfortunately I've been unable to trace where it is coming from looking at the source code (on my PC - Are you using browser/device sniffing?)
Here's the icon.
Well it would be, but I can't upload

Re: Server and HTTPS
sounds as though it might be a caching issue in that browser - all looking fine this end and it would be slightly weird if a new favicon suddenly appeared...
perhaps just keep an eye on it?

Cleared cache no change.
Tried on PC with Chrome.
Still can't upload an image. Can you?

Re: Server and HTTPS
Me too.
After all that it turns out it is not a FavIcon but an icon to tap to enter Reader Mode. Doh! This just shows the text of a page. I've no idea what criteria activates this but I have never seen/noticed it before and it doesn't appear for all the ADHub pages. It's not very useful as it misses chunks of pages out. I expect it wants 100% syntax adherence.

Re: Server and HTTPS
no idea - not something we have changed - code is identical to previous server...
Re: Server and HTTPS
Just been logged out again. Plus had a page hang and not load.
