Speed

Postby Triquet » Mon Oct 28, 2019 11:23 am

I'm not sure that this is a subjective observation, but there does seem to be a lot of egregious speeding going on at the moment. Many times over the last month I've been pootling along at my usual indicated 75 on a motorway and somebody comes blasting past at what I deduce must be speeds in excess of 100. The commuter speeds on my local evil A34 seem to have risen considerably over the last year, with the homeward bound commuters up in the mid-90's. Is this real? Is it due to shortage of Trafpol? Is it just my advancing years? Am I asking too many rhetorical questions? Is it Monday? :racing: :soap:

I'd say the reverse is true with many seem content to travel on motorways at 60-65.

There have always been some willing to go very fast on motorways but I can't say I've noticed an increase.

There is definitely a rise in cars that sit comfortably at speed and isolate the driver - meaning that perhaps some drivers are less aware of their speed?
