I wouldn't feel safe at 30mph in 5th gear or changing up on approach to hazards.
Ps The Spanish government subsidises fuel by 20c a litre; at least up until 1st September when it will be reviewed.

Recent visit to Mallorca the fuel pump price was discounted at the til and the receipt showed the applied discount. Therefore you knew the Govt price reduction was applied.
But UK forecourts seem to have taken the majority, if not all, the Govts 5p reduction rather than pass the saving on to motorists.

Some stations give you more fuel but yes, the discount still applies. It is due to be reviewed in late August but, with most government offices pretty much closed down during August s I cannot see any change before mid September, when the holiday season finishes.

Which Saab is it please? I had them for many years and starting with a 99 Turbo! I gave up when GM ruined the brand (IMO).
I took my original Rospa test in the 99 Turbo and and the examiner told me he had never seen anything go like it - not many people had then.
A man I work with has a 900 turbo in metalic grey which still pulls like a train, as long as you get the revs right. The man is sad he can no longer take it into larger towns, at least during the week. I say he has the super roads in the Pyrenees to play with.

I have two 95's one is a Aero Estate automatic, the other an older saloon manual. One has to remember which one is which as they both look quite similar inside, and (in line with this thread) engine braking is manifest with the manual whereas the automatic rolls merrily on. One can occasionally stall the manual just because I've forgotten :gear: :hit:
