What brand camera?

GoPro have got stupidly expensive.

It's an older model CamPark (X30). The stabilisation and audio are not great (but I use a separate audio source). It was a quick purchase for this journey. I set the camera in a photo every 3secs mode and left in on. Used a different memory card for each day.

Going forward I'll probably buy one of their latest models, which are in the £100-120 range. As long as you realise the limitations and use them as simple recorders (ignore the crazy frame rates 25/30 is fine for most people), they are good quality. They WILL NOT give you GoPro 8/9 quality stabilised footage as seen in many YouTuber's videos (like ItchyBoots). Don't under estimate just what volumes of data 4K video consumes. ;)

NB. The photos in the video are from my Samsung phone!

For some of our @work projects we would have 5x GoPros running, with extended batteries, per trial. And sometimes 4 or 5 trials locations each night. Ot could take some time to time to download the data and store it (let alone 'by eye' analysis).

I 'modified' the camera's waterproof case so that I can run it with a USB lead plugged into a 5v USB adapter that fits the DIN socket on my bike. No battery anxiety. :)

We did have an earlier set-up (before GoPros were available) with a digital recorder powered by a bike battery, and separate camera. But not an easy system for people to place, operate and remove from the roadside in the dark!

Well done - I reckon there aren't many bikers (or car drives) who would dare overtake this vehicle - no matter how slow it was.

It was like everyone else, ambling about at 10mph below the 50 limit for ages. Of course as soon as I started to overtake it accelerated. I was easily back on my side before the DWL started and I never went over 50. My mate had to wait for the DWLs to end :)

Not the UK but one of the favourite bikers roads in our part of the world:
