Bling, Bling

Postby GTR1400MAN » Thu Mar 04, 2021 2:27 pm

While unable to use the bike over the lockdown period I took the opportunity to dismantle the bike and get the wheels and belly pan powder coated.

They've had a base smoother/filler coat applied, then the colour coat and finally sprayed with a hard wearing gloss lacquer layer.

The wheels were originally a satin finish dark grey that was awful to get clean. Despite being an ex-demo bike someone at the bike shop must have cleaned them with a Brillo pad. The belly pan was bare metal. You can imagine how it looked after rain and salt.
