Many vehicles now fitted as standard with e-call type systems, so presumably already have GPS installed.

Could be an interesting conversation with the partner - "who was in the car with you........you said you were going to a meeting.........alone.......?"

But electric only vehicles don't pay road tax and nor did most hybrids
