The return to on-road coaching will start with a two-week period of peer observed sessions and assessments for our observers from Monday. This will be followed by the restart of Associate in-car coaching from Monday 20 July. Tests will restart two weeks later Monday 3 August.

So, oddly, they're jumping the gun somewhat as the government guidelines haven't been issued.

What is also odd about their statement is that having set the dates as above they then contradict this by going on to say that the timing for this will be advised later.

I can’t help feeling that the IAM have not thought this through, clutching at straws, being desperate to get observing back in place. Until it is they must be loosing revenue from loss of sales for Roadsmart. So one can sympathise with their desperation.
