 Hello all,

I have had a rather strange end to 2020 and start to 2021. On the 10 November last I had a heart attack and was carted off to the John Radcliffe hospital at Oxford. After various tests I had a triple heart bypass jobby and ended up having a number of additional operations and a prolonged stay at the JR, finally getting released on 4 January (I think they were clearing the decks for COVID). I'm now slowly recovering, but as you may have noticed there isn't much going on anyway ... hope to see y'all a bit later in the year when we are unlocked ...

:drinking:

That’s a long time to be enjoying hospital food. Glad to hear that you’re on the mend.

Hello! Hope you're feeling better with your new plumbing.

When I was in the food was ok, the problem was lack of sleep* because of noise.

* and, to be fair, as well as blood pressure and O2, because I was 'neurology' I was on hourly** checks for awareness***, sensation, etc.

** until I wanted more painkillers and thought "I'll wait to the next check", at which point they went to 2 hrs

*** "Do you know where you are?" (at 6 am). Yes, I'm in Southampton and I know that because of the blooming seagulls.
Your 'standard' is how you drive alone, not how you drive during a test.

Blimey Jim, could't you just sit back and have a cup or two of tea like the rest of us. Glad to hear you are on the mend, Will set up Newbury as and when.

Well, tryingto get back to normal. Taken red Saab for a quick blast to Wantage, Chain Hill to Newbury and back through Hermitage. All parts working reasonably except for a random CEL light which I will sort out tomorrow. It's one of those codes that means buggerall, just need to toddle down to the Saab specialist to get some odd plastic valve replaced. Fun fun fun.
