PMs remaining in Outbox

Hi Admin,
I've tried sending a couple of PMs, but they're just sat in the Outbox. Any thoughts on whether there's something changed or I'm doing wrong?

Nothing's changed. They stay there until the recipient reads them.

Ah, didn't know that. The other board I use they disappear immediately.
