'Other' seemed appropriate

Taxi when going out yesterday evening.

Auto box car.

Driver was steering one-handed, with his right hand.

Indicator stalk on the left side of the steering column.

He used his thumb to flip the lever ...
Your 'standard' is how you drive alone, not how you drive during a test.

Regular-sized thumb, allied with push-pull steering. Except that he was doing it one-handed, including the bit where you slide your hand around the wheel ....
