Re: Dangerous or just careless?
Are you thinking Rod is referring to a cone on the far side - past the cylinders (poles) - where the LGV ended up going? Yes. He is, as he says cone . They are blocking, apart from one a little out of line, the full gap in the central reservation. There doesn't seem to be a gap in the Diagram 7103 ...

Re: Dangerous or just careless?
But, but, but ... Regardless of her making a decision to go, she was trying to turn RIGHT! Yet you can clearly see that you can only turn left due to the roadworks. Rod Hunt, defending said "... one of the cones preventing cars going straight across or to the right was missing, leaving a gap&qu...

Re: Driving in the middle of London
I'd just like to point out you can be positive and assertive while still driving in a calm and controlled manner.

Re: Driving in the middle of London
You need your assertive/positive/committed head on to drive/ride in London. I always tell riders who are going to do it for their first time: Make a decision about the turn you are going to make at any junction, plan it and do it ... even if at the last minute you realise it's the wrong way. You can...

Re: Damaged new car
I suppose the real question is, "Who is repairing it?" and "What happens regarding my manufacturer's original paint/rust warranty".
Most franchise dealers don't have their own paint shops. It doesn't sound like it's just replacing parts.
Can of worms.

Keep Left Bollard
An interesting bit of footage on Facebook from my home town. NB. You do NOT need an account to view. Just click 'Not Now' when Facebook nags you to register and then you can watch the video. The lane is blocked. Someone commented when I shared this on FB "but you broke the law too by going to t...

Re: chloejr31's survey.
A pair of Fiamm style twin tone snail horns will be my likely solution. ... it was suggested that an air-horn wired in parallel would work well since a quick toot wouldn't be long enough for the air-horn to sound. This sounds (sic) an interesting project that gives that functionality. 0X9hn0Z8Cqk Th...

Re: chloejr31's survey.
Depends how loud your horn is  Several of my mates have these. Stebel Nautilus also sold as a copy called an Air Bomb. Personally I think they are too loud. People don't expect that sound from a motorbike and react looking for a car/lorry. You also loose the ability to do a friendly 'toot'...
