Re: Motorcycle airbag jackets

I meant the compatible jacket is the more flexible option as I could either wear it with the tech air vest which has its own back protector or not wear the vest and use a separate back protector of which I already have a selection. I think you are right about the gas cyclinder even though it's inert...

Re: Motorcycle videos

Going back to overtaking in the wet, which tyres do you have on your blue bike?

Re: Motorcycle airbag jackets

Thanks Ohlins I was looking at this last night. It does seem to be a much better solution for what I need. I was going to buy a new jacket in leather so buying a Tech air vest and compatible jacket would be OK. You have to go to a shop for the vest as they wont send them for some reason, so I could ...

Re: Motorcycle airbag jackets

Thank you for that, Horse. I sort of thought that might be the case.

Re: Motorcycle airbag jackets

I eventually found a more detailed pdf user manual on the Dainese website which is 480 pages long, after about 30 pages I found that what I had delivered is a chest only air bag thingy as Mr Ohlins said and from what I could see of the MotoGP style things they are the same. I think the vest is diffe...

Re: Motorcycle airbag jackets

Yeah I noticed the thing about the back protector, I also asked them about this before I ordered it. The back protector was huge and not very flexible. I've looked at every brand and design, I suppose I could use a chest protector. I was a bit put off some makes where you have to buy a jacket either...

Re: Declining Standards

Talking of BMWs I was sitting it in mine one day trying to reset the clock but not while I was driving, and I found a display which fills the touch screen with 2 analogue dials showing horsepower and torque, it was quite fun I thought but I imagine it could be very distracting. So I never use it.

Re: Motorcycle airbag jackets

I expect that's what I'll have to do, the vanilla option. I appreciate about injury prevention, I just thought it would be better than not having air cover.

Re: Declining Standards

When I'm on my bike about 70% of cars slam their brakes on when you come up behind them even slowly, I just sort of expect it now. In my view all cars should have a little pocket your phone gets locked into when you get in your car so you can't use it.

Re: Motorcycle airbag jackets

I think like you said above Dainese things normally fit but this was really odd. I was quite disappointed really as I've already had one back injury and I don't want another. I also wanted a Dainese jacket to zip onto my Dainese trousers otherwise I get a cold gap at the back. I'll have to drag up t...
