Filled up the bike last night at Costco cheapest petrol around still costs £37.90 FOR 21.67L £1.749 per l Need to ride more economically but 49.93MPG is not bad for me

I have driven Manchester to London and back a couple of times last month. Kept my speed down to around 60 using cruse control set the system into ECO mode and returned 68 Mpg against a normal 43 ( measured by full tank to full tank) Eco mode (BMW 220D auto) reduces the engine braking. Pre 1970 cars were about half as wide as cars are now (Austin A35? 1960 mini?) there was room to position. Room to park and get out of the car without trying to fold yourself in half.
