Technology dumbing down?
So as some of you may know I help on the "Driver Alertness' course (NDAC) for drivers who would have been prosecuted for driving without due care. Last week I had someone who when faced with a hill start in my car, panicked and exclaimed: "I can't to this!". After me talking her gentl...

Re: Steering input
So you are happy putting your hand/wrist/lower arm across the airbag during some steering?
I use a combination of fixed grip and pull/push for larger movements.

Re: What Happened?
Even in a short drive there will be dozens of situations in which a collision could occur, if yourself or another road user did not take some action. In the confused and, may I say complex, average High Street with all the 'polite?' giving way and stopping and starting; the poor old machine is goin...

Re: I'm resigned to driving slower and slower.
Yes I share your feelings. I've seen some perfectly good local rural roads go from NSL, to 50 and now 40. Autonomous cars aren't going to be practical/available anytime soon but when they are I guess AD will increasingly become a minority sport (even more than it is now) and seen as somewhat 'outdat...

Re: Does anyone ever see a blue IAM badge?
Yes extremely rare...in the last 10 years my group has seen precisely no 'commercial' associates. we did have an enquiry from an HGV driver who was interested in doing the commercial advanced course and test (aka 'blue badge')...until we pointed out he had to supply his own vehicle  Bearing in...

Re: All change
Sorry Nick bit late to this thread (I blame my holiday)...I'm sure the VRS will be fun and def. approve of the Boxster wheels...it's only taken you what, 3 years and I don't believe a word of your 'it was going to be too expensive/difficult to repaint yellow'. Look forward to seeing both in the comi...

Re: Low Profile Tyres. Why?
I've got 18" moderately low-profile tyres and I wouldn't describe the ride as bone-shaking...would you?
The Mk3 STs come with an option of 19" wheels and that's one I wouldn't be taking though.
