I'm going to agree with you that they're confusing. The fact that we're having this discussion at all means they've failed in their intended purpose. I tend to think they're designed to create confusion in the minds of most drivers, who then tend to be a little more cautious. Nothing in the discuss...

Most people don't like driving and own cars for convenience and/or status. If it becomes more convenient to rent for a short journey, the incentive to own will become the province of those with larger disposable incomes. I can imagine that, possibly, hiring could end up cheaper than owning.

No more driving jobs. No driver in mini-cabs, taxis, buses, coaches, lorries ... what a revolution! The main problem with rear tyres these days is that they die of old age!
