Given that my car wears its front tyres faster than the rears I move the part worn rear tyres to the front axle and put new tyres on the back when the fronts reach the limit. I only need to buy two tyres at a time but I would struggle to work out what the wear rates are or tyre life is, especially a...

One of Chris Gilbert's tips on learning commentary driving is to separate driving and commentary by sitting in the passenger seat and providing the commentary as someone else drives. It might be worth a try.

It's difficult to make the case that someone driving at 40 in a NSL does not know the limit. If that same driver goes through the next village, with its 30 limit, at 40 then I think case proved, m'lud.

Last year a road near me had all its potholes fixed and all the ironworks levelled up. Great. For about a month. Then they tarred and feathered, sorry, stone dressed the whole road leaving all the ironworks depressed again. I get reminded every time I cycle along it.
