I'm still not sure what the problem is, you must keep your foot on the brake or it will creep. If you have jerking in every car you drive perhaps you should approach junctions etc a bit slower so you can fine tune the stop. You can't be motionless in an automatic without your foot on the brake or it...

How about this. If you look on the IAM website under member rewards , member only insurance services, in the photo next to motorcycle insurance you can see quite clearly that the rider is not wearing gloves or maybe he just took the left one off to take the photo.

PS I am one of your middle aged came back to bikes after 20 years and bought a 1 litre sports bike.....etc persons. It's been 2 years now and I haven't crashed nor do I have a big belly!

Isn't the real answer getting people to drive with more skill and to keep their speed below that of their ability?
If you can switch it off there's not really any point in it. The good news is it's not going to be compulsory on bikes.
