Re: Camera test with demo style commentary
I have tried helmet mounted cam but because of the continual mirror updates (unlike a lot of Vloggers on YouTube!) I find the footage causes motion sickness!

Camera test with demo style commentary
Here's some old country yokel going on about his riding. Hopefully someone will find it useful.

Re: New Audi ad.
And there was me thinking we spent all our time avoiding Audis doing the things the clowns are doing.
Not the indicating thing though, obviously!

Re: Travel sickness?
More glass = better view? Modern cars generally have much less glass. Higher door lines, wider pillars. That may be true relative to the size of the vehicle, but the inside of modern cars are much lighter/roomier and you tend to sit higher so you can see out (or is it just me got taller from when I...

Re: Riding a bicycle without brakes
Anyone could claim they'd been hit, without the need for evidence/witnesses...] That wouldn't suffice. The claimant would still need to show that there was a collision and that the defendant was involved. In which case I'm being a bit dense and you'll need to explain how it is different to now wher...

Re: Riding a bicycle without brakes
Why isn't it law here? I'll just leave this and let people imagine what it would be like if this was the law. Anyone could claim they'd been hit, without the need for evidence/witnesses. Why this doesn't happen in Europe I don't know. Maybe it does. NB. Clearly staged as an advert for dashcams. UnP7...

Re: Riding a bicycle without brakes
... but your comments remind me of the complete buffoon on the old IAM forum, who said that cyclists have zero responsibility in the event of a collision. Wasn't he called fZIX7cPmFYc He did have some extreme views and anyone in/on something with an engine was to blame/responsible. Having said that...

Re: Riding a bicycle without brakes
I rode through Manchester city centre around 5 this evening, most pedestrians have a death wish I am sure. There is one set of lights I passed through, between each change of lights the pedestrians have a 4 way crossing. Each has a count down timer to the red man. It took several sets of lights for...

Re: Riding a bicycle without brakes
Perhaps my words didn't make my opinion clear.
In the first, you don't pass buses/lorries like that where you can't see what/who might pop out.
In the second you can even see it developing and he had loads of time to slow / stop.
Both could have been avoided by both riders and both pedestrians.
