Re: Another 'Overtaking' Q
In my YouTube videos I suggest several times that despite these two explicit types the execution is often a mixture of the two. Just looked through your videos, found the 'damp but bright day, overtake after a bends' one posted a link in my thread on the other board. Along with what I'd posted prev...

Re: Another 'Overtaking' Q
I’m away from my most recent copy of Roadcraft, so bear with me. What are the following and close up gaps? 2 and 1 seconds, respectively? No rush :) This is from an old edition. Am I correct in thinking that there is now, in police training, reduced emphasis on this much closer position? Or ...

Re: Increasing speed limits
Never going to happen. Yup. As effective as the recent poll demanding an election  Everything is being aimed at LCD, lowest common denominator or least capable driver (delete as applicable). Not quite ... This can partly be attributed to the relentless campaign on “speed kills” because the co...

Re: Overtaking Calculator
Someone on here told me about the rule of thirds that simplifies thinking about numbers. Distance to limit point divided by 3 I posted this on another forum: No, I think drivers and riders are often unable to accurately judge speed and distance. Instead, from successful experience, they learn what ...

You may already have found them and had something else in mind.
Thanks!
I'd only googled with the constraints of the old forum
