Re: Touch Screens

Good to see, although I can imagine Germany isn't exactly fond of Tesla. Wonder what the big German OEMs will make of it given their race to touch screens too?

Re: Highway Code Review for cyclists, pedestrians and horse riders

It strikes me as just another round of new rules/laws backed up by new/bigger fines as a poor substitute for better education. As has already been pointed out, nobody reads HC after their test unless they are "a bit weird" or they are forced to for a course/test - we are in the first cate...

Re: Highway Code Review for cyclists, pedestrians and horse riders

Trouble is will people read the HC and follow the rules/guidelines? No, and that was one point I made when giving feedback. Most motorists won't have touched a HC since they passed their driving test. I disagree with some of the priority changes that will create more conflict and possibly cause acc...

I know the IAM has a bit of an archaic reputation, but is that taking it a bit far?

Re: Always be able to stop in the distance....

Anyone here had close convoy training? Can you explain how you avoid events like this when you deliberately avoid any reaction time between vehicles? How much trouble will there be for the driver (formal investigation? Disciplinary proceedings? )? I wonder it the rangerover has any modern tech such...

Re: Reg Local and speed...

Probably the same with many of you, it's unnecessary 50s that annoy me. Although it did amuse me that he was saying something similar while passing within a few feet of peoples' front doors. Indeed. The irony being that by extending the limit they've removed one of the more obvious demarcations tha...

Re: Reg Local and speed...

I've tidied up jcochrane's dps. The challenge with ignoring 50s is that's where there's more likely to be enforcement, and you're 10mph further over the limit than if it were national. I've not watched the video, but it sounds a bit inconsistent to argue that limits are not helpful, then say that &q...
