Re: Rule of Thirds - Overtaking
Yes as I mentioned in first post.
It is related to progressive driving. Dividing the road ahead between bends into thirds.
I teach this all the time.
It is another HPC John Lyon era technique.
I have the coloured graphic/handout.

Re: Rule of Thirds - Overtaking
Sounds like an HPC John Lyon era thing. I used to call it the rule of the triangle. May also be called Bananaring I use the rule of thirds more for progress between bends. Accelerate firmly for third, cruise for a third ease off and or brake over a third.? For Masters or Advanced Police. Accelerate ...

Re: Driving More Renaults
Oh no not that roundabout at the top of Whiteladies road. Then straight on at Blackboy hill into Westbury road I could never get across it without some t**t entering too fast aiming for the trailer. I was sure I was going to fail my Test. Just as we got there the examiner turned me off left into Com...

Re: Driving More Renaults
I will not say that the guys (truckers) have it easy else it will start a war of blue badge holders.
I was a bit rubbish using 4 over 4 with a dropper and a splitter making 16 gears.
The modern trucks are very expensive and very posh.
I could not brake and change overlap so hard work.
