I really don't get all their problems with the key fob. Why would anyone put the fob anywhere in the car. Just keep it in your pocket where it was designed to be.
Am I missing something?

Re: +ve & -ve limit point
I've only tried cruise control on long sections, such as motorways. How does / would it cope in a series of bends, any idea? Edit to clarify: it might cope with loss of speed through the bend, but couldn't deliberately use power to alter balance. And if increasing speed through, would it [see AB's ...

Re: +ve & -ve limit point
My reply on YouTube last night ... Welcome back Reg. Hmm, I'm confused, a bit.. Roadcraft and limit point already says that if you are getting closer to the limit point you need to slow a little and if it is moving away you can add some throttle/accelerator. You have to be so careful when teaching w...

Re: Will I dislike an auto?
The brake lights coming on when slowing, but you are not pressing the brake pedal has no relationship to whether the car is using the brakes automatically to slow. The brake lights will be illuminating based on an inertia switch. This is the reason you will often see electric cars being "on/off...

Re: Will I dislike an auto?
Does your brake hold keep the brake lights illuminated? My hybrid Clio has an auto handbrake/brake hold function that works perfectly. It's downside is it leaves the brake lights on. I've at long last given up worrying about it, as many other cars do the same, either due to the same feature or drive...

Re: Will I dislike an auto?
Why would you want to select P at traffic lights?
Get shunted up the rear and it will likely take the gearbox with it. P is for the end of your journey when you get out of the car.
Well, that's my view. Let's see what others say.

Re: Finely-judged overtake?
I've just 'ridden' it on line from the biker's perspective.
Even if you allow for him already being offside at the start of the overtake, they have minimal view ahead.
There's no official sign for the junction but there is an unofficial one.

Re: Finely-judged overtake?
That's too fine and is intimidating the oncoming. Also looking at the pics any road sign for the t junction should have been enough to wait. Was his speed constant, or was there an element of a big hand full of throttle to finish what he had committed to, rather than abort. So many won't abort, and ...

9 speed?
Hmm, add a couple more(you know they will) and you'll have a CVT
Everyone says they hate CVT but the reality is that it is the end game. Once you get your head round using one, they are fantastic.

Re: Tempting fate
I made eye contact with a gentleman in the driving seat, smiled, and showed my appreciation with a few theatrical claps of my palms wrapped in their hi-viz gloves. He smiled back appreciatively, I’d imagine they might be accustomed to less friendly gestures. Have you thought it may have come across...
