Thanks Mark. Clive taught me that method and it seems to work, so I'm happy with it. I'll use a variety of techniques - most often the "triangle" but if I *know* *for sure* the overtake is on and I have a speed advantage then I'll use momentum, but that's only if I have the space and the v...

Bluntly, they're irrelevant I think in the context of actually being behind the wheel. They may be of some use to have a rough idea of how long under certain circumstances it will take to overtake but there are so many variables in any specific overtake I'll not be doing the mental maths at the time...

An AD acquaintance of mine was being driven by a fellow villager to a speed watch training course, some 30-40 minutes away. Blew through the villages on the way well above the speed limit.
