Re: Has IAM Roadsmart given up on advanced training?

... Even the uk car test pass rate raises questions: Most Brits will fail their practical test first time around. According to the DVSA, the 2019/20 pass rate for practical tests is 46.4% in the UK It's been around 50% for hundreds of years. I wonder how much money the DSA/DVSA needs to bring in ea...

Any thoughts?

I only watch Mike's. Mainly to see if I can spot something dodgy, and to try and understand the thought process of the two wheeled.

Re: IAM Roadsmart’s car crash on social media

And roads of the 1980s are not what they used to be either. Have people changed? Eyesight and reflexes etc won't have evolved in 40 years. So what are you saying? Reduce speed limits! Those europeans have faster motorway limits; you don't hear them complaining. Blimey, you managed to extrapolate a ...

Re: Theory questions - not multiple choice

How many would know about turning the radio on for a tunnel?! That does need reading a book. I only know of that as it was mentioned when the theory test was introduced. IIRC, for getting traffic updates in long tunnels? :( Yes, emergency stuff. This is interesting; https://tunnelsmanual.piarc.org/...

Re: Theory questions - not multiple choice

Hmmm... not sure any were particularly obscure. ETA: Not sure which one you think has the wrong answer. Could it be this one? Their answer is, technically, wrong but it's a bit picky. Technically wrong? It's wrong then! It's in the HC; don't need Know your traffic signs even. And I like picky. Obsc...

Theory questions - not multiple choice

For interest/kids/grandkids learning......

Nice format without the easy four options/guess answer style.

Bonus point for spotting the wrong answer.

Re: Motorcycle videos

A really short one this time. I hope it generates discussion with my subscribers/viewers on YouTube (and here of course :) ) Could you? Would you? Should you? | Early junction entry on motorcycle | UK Roads I'm demoralised with the FB replies quoting HC and not cutting corners. What's the point of ...

Re: It’s chilling that people drive at 81 mph on the motorway – says IAM Roadsmart

And once again stating that speeding is responsible for around 4380 deaths a year on UK roads. We clearly need to educate them to stop quoting deaths on European roads as deaths on UK roads. So much for reading this thread and taking any notice. [Which, I appreciate, are two different things] In dr...
