Unions.

Well quite. But the tories have been in power long enough now - I'm amazed Boris hasn't done this for the tube. Night running would have been a perfect way to do it (no problem if you don't want to work, we'll get the computers to do it for you  )

Therein lies the point, AI won't truly be AI until it can pisstake like this.
Oh, that's not what's AI's about is it?
Humans, what's the point of them, when all will be AI?
Yet, we continue to develop this?
To paraphrase Marx, Humanity has within it the seeds of its own destruction.
Anyone developing a true Human based AI? With the emotional baggage that influences all Human behaviour.

Eta, this stuff really riles me, because it's all about logic and there's no logic in such as art, literature and music.
So, is the logical AI future to be devoid of such stuff and those who go off at a tangent?

Is the aim of those driving modern digital technology to render the majority of the population jobless?

Or create new jobs. How many of todays jobs would you have imagined 30 years ago?
:

Worldwide, there are not enough jobs, with an ever expanding population.
Tell me how the continuing digital world will provide enough jobs for those who need them?
Look to unemployment rates, especially of the young, in the EU.
I can remember the talk of digital meaning a world of leisure for many. Well, where's that?

Same place as the paperless office . . .
Your 'standard' is how you drive alone, not how you drive during a test.

Arguably that's because the old are continuing to work, while enjoying a good public health service and generous pensions. Of course the young won't get any of those benefits by the time they get old

On the other hand the birth rate is generally falling, which means we're failing to feed the pyramid scam of the modern economy.

World population is reckoned to increase, most of that population now, through the products of modern technology, well aware of the material benefits of a Western lifestyle.
That's the big problem going forwards, one politicians, especially Western, are failing to acknowledge or explain to their electorates.
Is that because they mostly all spout the "green" stuff?
