L Plates

These are being plugged on various channels of social media today, as a solution to a problem I'm not sure exists.

Your thoughts on legality, safety?

Made me think of this Meme I saw the other day.

interesting concept - but reduction in visibility? - accept that there is a reduction in visibility with an L plate stuck on the rear window, but this will block the over the shoulder view of motorcycles / bikes...

Why would you have it on the rear window and not on the boot?

Unless the bike is already in mid-air, it shouldn't be too much of a problem ;)

I wonder about the effect on the window glass from a few high-low speed cycles?

because that is where lots of people seem to put them
- magnetic ones fall off / non-magnetic
- don't want to stick to paint work - so stick on the glass
