Love to Andy but I'll be in London that day (World Athletics Championship...spectating not competing!).

Hope it goes well.

Driving up for Thurs evening session, staying in a hotel in Beckton (close to DLR), Friday being a tourist and then watching the Saturday morning session. Will be a long drive up and across London - I quite enjoy the challenge of doing extreme urban Advanced Driving i.e. trying to make good, safe progress whilst still being courteous amongst the sometimes impatient London drivers.

MMMM I have done that too.

A really very interesting challenge which I was looking forward too and to enjoy [!] A few years back. :gear:

Had a lot of bad luck surrounding Congestion charges and times. Parking problems [long stay meters all out of order] :flail:
Then took 4 hours to get back in on a Sunday evening after going to Kent along with EVERYONE else. My fault too as with local knowledge chopped and changed routes so wasted time.

Best bit, after getting fed up with a mixed bunch of 30 to 40 cyclists, was burn them all off at traffic lights, totally empty clear road in front. :D

Just as I was feeling smug my wife shouted " Pedestrian crossing in use"
She was right too!!

So a 'hot stop'.

Did not bother the cyclists though they just came past and blended with the pedestrians across the crossing and cycled past through and on. :bike:

I would have loved to come down for the event but have already arranged to meet a new member of a driving club that day for a drive.

I hope that there are plans for another breakfast event that I might be free to attend.

Many thanks for the update. I have entered this into my diary.
Not sure if you will still want to buy me that breakfast though if I was tell you I was one of those renegades with "hir" that met up with you and others at Gaydon to air views on steering, inputs/outputs. heel"n"toe etc :)
