AD Hub logo

Postby akirk » Thu Oct 15, 2015 4:35 pm

Well... I have been having a play :)
I had a request for a favicon - useful when you bookmark a website...
And I thought that in the spirit of feeling all grownup etc. we could have one which reflected a logo which reflected what AD Hub is about...

so...

The thinking is as follows:
- the centre is the hub, with AD in it - Advanced Driving at the hub of all we are about
- on the left we see:
- - at the top a road, representing getting out there and actually driving
- - then a car - car drivers
- - then a motorbike - bikers
- on the right we see:
- - people - we are all about people
- - a brain - to represent the detail and intelligence etc. (unsure about this, but using a bit of poetic licence :D thought it might apply!)
- - below, some speech bubbles to represent discussion - and pointing in two directions to represent the fact that we don't mind debate from both sides :)

so the left is about being out and doing it - the roads / the vehicles / the skills - the right about the people and talking...

Also in white

For the favicon - and a simplified version, we simply take the centre hub - the AD within the circle:

hopefully this should also have enough code / variants to give you tiles on ios / windows 8 & 10 / etc....

any issues or thoughts do let me know...

Where's the 'pistols at dawn' symbol? :-)

Seriously... I'm not sure the brain symbol is obvious without explanation. It could be African concerns...

I see the brain symbol simply as "thinking", as opposed to blind obedience. ;)

Works for me, and the favicon is nice and crisp, and helps me identify the right tab in Chrome.

I keep thinking "what a pretty snowflake" ...
there is only the road, nothing but the road ...
