Yes, the days of motorcycling as cheap transport are long gone.

I was thinking using a motorbike as a subsistute for a car currently, but honestly I'd never want to do anything other than leisure riding, I just don't see the point in using a motorbike as a only vehicle, so will wait until I'm in a position to have both a bike and a car alongside my multitude of other cars :mrgreen:
