That's very useful, Horse. Although it relates to Motorways, there is no longer mention of "slowly" but it does say "keep up", not overtake. I do not think this is unreasonable and it still makes lane weaving illegal. I have always said I would not handle the ball in a soccer match until the fifth member of the team picked it up and ran with it. If you can't beat them, join them so Meethinks I need to let my hair down and run with the crowd on the left.

Just be aware of where you place your car ie don't sit in blind spots etc. watch for 'hints' that the driver might be about to change lane etc.

And, to use the term, be wary of 'lane shear', where one lane is moving substantially faster than another - circumstances where drivers are likely to try to change lane to go with the [faster] flow.
