There is no size fits all for roundabout signalling. Roundabouts can be anything from an ill-defined blob of white paint in the middle of a junction, through what I would call a "classic roundabout" (the sort of thing shown in the HC), and then up to giant roundabouts like South Mimms or complex things like Oxford Donuts or Swindon and Hemel Hempstead Magics. Some RBs have lights, some don't. The more complex, the more likely people are to get in the wrong lane.
