Well some say that.
When I did mine he (examiner, not Reg!) wanted first half without commentary and second half with. He said I drove better with commentary. So I could have scored better if he'd followed the rules. That's my excuse.

I did commentary throughout mine. About halfway through the examiner did say I was welcome to give the commentary a rest if I wanted to, but I opted to keep it up as I thought that helped to maintain the focus on the quality of the drive. Got a distinction, so I guess it wasn’t a bad tactic

Does anyone know what the threshold mark is now for getting a Distinction, it was 34, so I think you could get 7 2's and still get a Distinction, but I think the threshold has been toughened??

I think it is 30 or less with 27 categories.

It's used at bends and junctions (should be kept free from foliage). It allows more progress which is the Cheshire way.
