Round here in Occupied North Berkshire (and even in North Berkshire) we have a lot of nasty short little slip roads onto the A34, many of which have bends and poor visibility. Sometimes it's necessary to get round the corner quite slowly until you can see back up the A34, quick shoulder check for the gap and then welly it.
