Let him (or her) who hasn't exceeded the speed limit during a brisk overtake cast the first stone :gear:

Do you mean 'Didn't plan to, but planning failed with distinction'? ;)

If there is safety in numbers, aren't 3 numbers better than 2 ?? :-)

Thank you one and all for your thoughts/ideas.
Had Micra's for over 19yrs fun to drive but do need welly
Anyway back to the overtake.
From initial contact no response from CRV when positioning, in their speed or position.
Granted 4th at 50 not fastest but 3rd would have required change up mid overtake. :gear:
Would I do the same again?
Given there was no reaction from CRV and I was in position with headlights on yes.
However once it became clear they were not playing ball, I should have aborted and dropped back.
After 19yrs I know every overtake needs great care and full comittment.
Will just add CRV to BMW, Audi, Merc, Landrover etc. to the list of unhelpful Bees :D

It has almost got to the point (certainly in Occupied North Berkshire) the only way to effect an overtake is to take the overtakee by surprise ....

Probably why I can sometimes overtake easily in the Micra, they don't expect it
