Went today. Well worth a visit for the reminders of some vehicles I saw still on the road in my youth and some others that I didn't even know ever existed.

Photo Album on Facebook but you don't need an account to view. Just say "No thanks" if it asks you to login or create an account, and click on a pic to start flicking through.

Very good pictures. Rather amusing to think there's at least 10 years between me and the youngest car on display!

I used the know chap with a Messerschmidt. Apparently to go into reverse you just started the engine in reverse rotation (basic two-stroke). Interesting concept.

Back in the early 70s the lad up the road had a Bond Bug. Pretty quick, but like most, if not all three wheelers, rather unstable.

I remember Messershmitts and Isettas, and wasn't there one called the Gogomobile. Many of those in the photos I have never seen, but the photo of the petrol tank of the James reminded me of my brothers first motorbike, a 97cc James.

Interesting that the Goggomobile Transporter pickup was often used as a snow plough.

So does this mean you could achieve the same top speed both forwards and backwards? As if you have 3 forward gears, and you're running the engine in reverse you'd be able to use them all as reverse gears?
