My Focus RS.

Postby WhoseGeneration » Wed Mar 15, 2017 8:49 pm

I can't decide which it is, a BTCC or WRC car for the public road. My wife has said I've become obsessive about potholes.
So, does that mean I consider it more WRC than BTCC?

BTCC with 4WD.

[Check out the suspension travel on WRC on Red Bull TV last weekend in Mexico]

The harder the suspension the more you get obsessive with potholes.
Thought my Megane RS was bad enough. New Civic R solid!!
New one has three modes now. Comfort/Normal/Track

Focus ST and Astra SRi should be better it seems.

Not been in a new RS yet.
Now cannot understand why everyone on test, just drives through sunken manholes, sunken drains and potholes without a care.

Have you seen the little tell tale top suspension springs broken off in the gutters!!

Cheers Andy

Takes a while to get some motorcyclists to miss them smoothly! Sadly some then swerve to miss really mild ones or even perfectly flat ones, creating more danger than just flowing over it!

The potholes in our roads are an issue for just about any car. I had to apologise profusely after I drove into one in someone else's car (downhill, on the brakes) at the weekend  (and it has quite big profile tyres). I'm still blushing.

I now seem to wander gently down the road between them all patting myself on the head for missing them.
:racing:
THEN thinking the other motorists are on the phone [whilst driving] reporting a drunk driver all over the road. :drinking:

Yes but it appears to be a bit of a faff to post here. It looks like I'll have to sign up to a hosting 'site and that's something I've always avoided, so I'm not sure what to do.
I prefer to be very much not "public".

You could use the upload facility on Pistonheads to upload to Thumbsnap. Compose a PH post, upload the image, copy the URL, cancel the PH post, paste the URL here.

Like this pic of a drive through ATM.

Cancelling the PH post does not delete the uploaded image.

I could, apart from the fact I was banned from Pistonheads some years ago for an AD related argument with a Mod.

New account?

Alternatively, just use Thumbsnap directly...
