They didn't mention if you could have alternative forms of cheese sandwich. Branston. Lettuce. Mustard. Or is it plain vanilla cheddar only?

Decent cheese is a must.
I have a sneaking suspicion IAM standard is those processed slices though, with pickle only available for the elite few.

It's not the overlap but the slices that are the problem. It should be a fail during any cheese sandwich exam :D

I have been informed by those that designed the sandwiches that what they are looking for is cheese sandwich equal to a police cheese sandwich, but without the pickle.

Yes, provided they cover the burger (or sausages) that should be in there!

That looks like rubber cheese, not a nice lift the roof off the top of your mouth Cheddar, let alone a nice smelly mature Blue Stilton or Gorgonzola.

I only used the picture for the 'overlap' :)

Nasty plastic cheese.

I'm a grated cheddar and pickle man!

Cheese and pickle, cheese and cucumber, cheese and tomato, both with salt and pepper, toasted cheese sandwich etc. If it has cheese, I'll eat it as long as the cheese is tasty.
