And we'll have less insults about the Cornish as well.

Nigel.

That'll be "fewer" insults. You're not Cornish are you? Oh dear. ;-)

I have to say I feel a bit cheated about this issue. We changed to diesel cars quite a number of years ago because the received wisdom was that they were better for the environment. It cost us more of course, and the figures said that we wouldn't be doing the mileage necessary to recoup our costs, so it was a conscious decision to do what we thought was right at some expense to us.
So now I'm driving a diesel Audi - bought as a retirement present to myself and not one I can afford to repeat so I'm stuck with it, and find that all these years I've apparently been damaging the planet and paying through the nose for the privilege of doing so!
Still, it's a lovely car so there's that compensation.

Oh dear, diesel and an Audi... you are the devil incarnate! ;)

Perceived wisdom changes so often, I wouldn't worry about it. There isn't a form of transport that is actually good for the environment. It's the intention that counts 8-)

But even so... a diesel Audi? :bash:

;)

It's gone to NIgeria. Look on the bright side - you get to help the poor as well as saving yourself from having to own a diesel Audi.

Ignore it all, those in power and the really wealthy do so.
Concern is only for the "little folks", those who are charged taxes to "save the planet".
If the politicians were really concerned they'd never leave their home countries, would travel by public transport only, within their countries and, like me, be a vegetarian at least, although vegan is more environment friendly.
Total hypocrites, the majority of politicians.

Thankfully I don't have to own a diesel Audi, or any other diesel vehicle. Hopefully I never will. If it ever gets to the point I have no choice, I'll have reached the lowest point in my life and will end it all. Ending up like you would be too much to bear. :flail:
