Plus there's been an awful lot of talking on forums of late - can't think you are wrong though and a drop in posts is to be expected.

Partly, I think, it's cyclical - a single post or thread will seed more interest, then contributions will gradually ease off.

Rinse and repeat.

Taking a look around most days. Am wondering if I'm brave enough to try organising a driving day, if I can pinch a set of routes from someone - there was one Woodstock way, I seem to remember, which was good fun....

Somewhere (perhaps on ADUK?) someone (Gareth?) posted a 'how to' guide.

IIRC meeting & lunch venues with sufficient capacity were more of a restriction than appropriate routes ;)

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=20
seems to cover most of it.

IIRC the Woodstock one was based at The Duke of Marlborough just north of Woodstock. I still have a copy of the routes if anybody is interested. :car:

Found a bookmark on my phone to the old site (thought I'd deleted it). Oh dear. Sadly, it's fame, that led the new owners to buy it) has become its downfall. At least the first three pages of new posts are for variations of Viagra.

From fame to notoriety . . .

to be fair it looks as though they have been hit in the last 2 days...
the problem with simple forum software where the code is open is that anyone can hack it...

it is why we have membership here only be approval from an admin - filters out any attempted memberships from dodgy sources...

Make that 5½ pages of foreign Viagra adverts...and counting. Shame I thought ADUK was a great little forum (if a bit esoteric) with a large repository of great threads and some cracking individual posts from some knowledgeable authors. Since it's pretty dormant now (excluding the spam!) I guess it will continue to die a slow death.
