I read that dreadful book once and then gave it away. Even buying it at half price I felt ripped off.
Definitely for the best that his on-screen role was a silent part!

Normally I try to follow the "live and let live" mantra but in this case, I will have to make an exception: that book was really disappointing. An inflated sense of self. Shame, as it could have been so much better.
I understand that he's trying to milk his Top Gear experience. That's fine. But at least, he could try to produce something that's actually useful to the large number of people who will buy his products.

I only saw him on TV as himself once, but my reaction was 'best keep the helmet on'.
