FTAOD: I am not suggesting that they were in this case only that it is a common cause of accidents among young people with peers in the car.

About a third of motorcycle crashes involve the rider running out of talent and throwing the bike into the scenery.

There was a safety campaign aimed at riders, "Don't crunch after lunch."

Add motorcyclists onto the schools campaign - when it's shown to work.
Your 'standard' is how you drive alone, not how you drive during a test.
