It might be a way to use up those old Land-Rovers from Belfast that proved so unsuited to conditions in Iraq?

Boris bought some water cannon. Shame they've been sold off.

Tactical contact is always a risk but the training that we get it is a calculated risk when faced when to implement it and when not to,in this particular case ie motorbike/moped thefts then you have to fight fire with fire,as they are attacking innocent people and property armed to the teeth in some cases with weapons.
They will remove their helmets when they realise that they can not outrun you in a hope that you will call the pursuit off allowing them to evade capture this is why they have had to come up with some sort of tactic which sends out the message no matter what you do you will be brought to justice,we need to go one step further and say that if they are requested to stop by Police and they refuse engaging in dangerous behaviour which results in serious injury or death then they will be held accountable 100% with no shifting blame onto Police . It’s a very dangerous game to play but the Police need to be able to control the streets and not let the criminal have the control like they are used to having.
