*Cough* M3 J6 spur.

Looks like the motorway ends just before the roundabout?

A quick look on:

Shows . . .
https://www.sabre-roads.org.uk/wiki/ind ... title=A339
"Traffic then reaches the Black Dam roundabout which is a signal controlled roundabout with the A30 (east to Camberley, west for the Southern Ringway and to Winchester). Straight on will take you onto the spur for the M3 at J6. The A339 itself is the junior partner in a multiplex with the A30 along the Southern Ringway for about one mile, and then re-appears turning off southwards towards Alton."

'Pathetic' doesn't have anything about it - I would have expected it to!

I find them distracting. There is a pair at the Liverpool end of the M62, and they can be almost dazzling, especially at dusk. There's also one at the M6 / M5 split at Walsall.

Something in my mind told me that advertizing was not allowed on motorways - hence the lorry trailers that happen to get left in fields - but I haven't been able to find any prohibition, and the local authority responsible for the M62 boards didn't know of it. But if adverts are allowed on motorways, why aren't they more widespread? Is there simply planning guidance against them?

If you look on Google Maps they now think the A14 is the A14(M) for the whole length!

I'm fairly sure the roundabout at the M58 / M6 junction is all motorway - and it's got traffic lights on it!
