"On pulling out to pass a cyclist the vehicle was in collision with a central island and turned over. There were no injuries caused to anyone apart from minor ones to the driver. No further action will be taken."

Apparently this is the level now expected of a careful and competent driver

Quite impressive considering the size of the car, though as a 4x4 it is a bit higher I suppose :)

Sadly it is a season of more alcohol, more tiredness, less daylight - never a good combination...

Indeed. Aided by a combination of tiredness and the brilliant low sun in my eyes, I made a right balls of finding my way into and through the car parking area at Woolley Edge services on Wednesday. No harm resulted, but I got it all wrong and I must have looked like a right twit to any observer.

The season is now over but I don't see a noticeable improvement :)
