I've tried from photo bucket but there is a restriction of 800 wide. I have no idea what that is on photo bucket as if I change it to 800 on there it is all out of shape.

Thankyou, let me have a play... We are learning about the settings all the time! It might be a day or so, but I will sort it out :) thankyou for your patience!

I had to make mine a good bit less than 800 to post. I tried 799 but got bored with resizing after that and just cropped 1/3 off the image. I'll do a more controlled test today, work and flu (thanks Martine!) permitting.

There are definitely settings at 800px in teh admin panel - and I would prefer to not have huge pictures on the forum as they can make the flow of the forum difficult - especially with the modern day focus on responsive systems... however neither do I want a block which stops people from adding content and interest, so we will revert on this one if that is okay?

Meaning? Revert to what? I think the limit is good, if only the software would interpret it correctly! :D

800 pixels works fine now. I think maybe my problem was that I kept replacing the same image on PB, and perhaps it was cached somewhere along the line. Paul, please resize your image on your local device and re-upload to PB with another name. Irfanview is a great tool for simple image manipulation.

Alasdair, I don't think we need to do anything.

I'll stick some up from Wales last weekend then. The hills are lovely south of Hereford (I know it's not Wales but we jumped over the border very quickly) - from the hotel car park you could see all the way to the Black Mountains.
