I hate Safari so haven't tried it on there.

Or at least wearing something other than a black polo-neck. And admitting that you're running Unix no matter how blingy Apple have made the interface.

You.re not. It's BSD based IIRC :P

AT&T (later SystemV) and BSD are just the two main branches of Unix. It's still Unix.

(the diagram gives a good idea - doesn't even mention the variant I gained most of my experience on! :D )

PDP or HP-UX? Although when I was using PDPs it was all VMS. The computer centre had 40 of the machines being used by a lot of people so it was all time-slicing (We had our own Vaxstation talking to a very early Hardware-In-The-Loop machine that was sufficiently aged so as to have wirewrapped connections and worked in fixed point making programming models a smidge challenging).

The HP-UX was single station running Lotus (car manufacturer rather than spreadsheet company) Analysis and TMS32020 compiler software.

Either I started early or I'm ancient. I'm hoping it's the former... For those who use CAD I started out in 1988 with AutoCAD R2.

not all that early - I started on Alpha mainframes, and a 1/2byte memory, card-reader HP computer (first computer in any school apparently!)
I am sure though that we will have someone on here who knew Babbage!

Ultrix? Met it first via VT220 terminals on a MicroVax II. Although my first Unix advertures were on Idris via terminals connected to an M68000 system.

Strange indeed, I have opened ADHub on Imac 27', macbook air and ipad and it's fine, on both chrome and safari. Not sure what the issue is on your side.
