Hi from Stoke

Postby keo » Thu May 10, 2018 9:11 am

Hi

I am James from Stoke on Trent. I have been driving about 13 years but I have never done any formal qualification. I need to find somewhere local. I have got a mate who is involved with IAM he took me out and I enjoyed it. Unfortunately he lives in Bristol though.

Reading the advanced driving forum on pistonheads brought me here. I drive a very boring Audi A3 diesel most of the time and I have an Elise for fun. Although I don’t use it much and is currently up for sale.

Hello and welcome. Don't sell the Elise before you've done some training - you'll be able to have fun in the Audi, but probably a lot more in the Lotus.

Check out the thread about the upcoming Craven Arms / Bishops Castle driving day and come along to meet us if you can.

Also, there's nothing unfortunate about living in Bristol...

Welcome!
Do the day
Bristol people are often good :) [No, I'm not one]
Your 'standard' is how you drive alone, not how you drive during a test.

Hi there and welcome! Hopefully you have a licence? ;)

There's a huge amount of info here and members of very varied experience - ask any questions you have about driving ('advanced' or not) and you'll get some great advice.

Would the 'Bristol person' be anyone we might know? Give us a hint - both Mr. Toad and I (and others here) are heavily involved in the Bristol IAM RoadSmart group: Bristol Advanced Motorists.

Hi Martine, the Bristol person is name Pete, don’t really want to say his full name on here. I think he still has a Blue fiesta st, not seen him for a good while. Think he is more into bikes now.
